Battling the King Empty Battling the King

Taraius awaited his next opponent, one who may be strong, or may be weak. He had no idea what to expect from the man he had challenged, but he hoped for the best battle yet.

Battling the King Empty Re: Battling the King

Xixas kept his face hidden, shrouded in cloth. His garbs were different from his usual attire, and his body was riddled with steel plating, signed with cloth. Along his body was the massive tied scimitar with the red ribbon upon the hilt, and the long steel rod stay stay wrapped along his back.

The Echo he felt was nothing formidable, and Xixas would make sure to end this as soon as possible. He lifted his gaze, and gently lifted a hand to his back. He ripped the steel rod from his back, spinning it across his arm before sliding an open palm across the base, extending the rod, and erupting the massive steel scythe blade, revealing the weapon to be a scythe itself.

Xixas felt an aura of pure silver Fyre manifest, the Xycroxis increasing his speed to the next level. He knelt down low... And launched himself forward. He lifted the scythe, the closed the short distance before beginning a swing across his opponent's torso.

"Regnai Trecedim... Messorem!" The scythe glowed bright, and slashed!
(Now at Tier I Speed)

Battling the King Empty Re: Battling the King

Seeing his foe enter, not speaking a single word, Taraius entered a defensive stance, his guard raised high, awaiting the attack to come. Surprised by the increased speed of his foe, Taraius was able push himself backwards with his legs, barely dodging the silver Scythe. As he did so, he felt something in the man's body. Something familiar. Fyre!?

Seeing as his foe was powerful, he made sure not to gain much distance, instantly forming about one hundred shards of Fyre-imbuned shards, floating in the air around him.

"Steel Storm!"

The blades instantly shot at the man like arrows at point-blank range. As this happened, Taraius jumped back, gaining distance.

Battling the King Empty Re: Battling the King

Xixas, manifesting his Sicarian Echo, erased himself from existence. He was no longer there. He re-appeared seconds later behind his foe, and slashed the scythe downward. At such a distance and position, a dodge was nearly impossible without high speed augments. Even then, the aura around Xixas increased even further, increasing his Speed to Tier II. He had appeared behind his foe, obtaining the element of surprise. Along with his speed now so fast it was hard to track with the eye, the opponent's only chance would be a sudden guard.

Battling the King Empty Re: Battling the King

Post by Guest Sun Mar 30, 2014 1:35 pm

As his foe disappeared, Taraius raised his guard, before feeling an echo appear behind him. Anticipating an attack, Taraius quickly moved to the side.

But he wasn't quick enough.

The blade struck right next to his shoulder, easily cutting through his flesh like cutting hot butter. His arm flopped to the side, as he ran away, gaining distance. Although no cry was heard from the resiliant Taraius, he had never felt such pain before, Moments later, blood started to leak from his immense wound. He sprouted his wings, flying up to the air as fast as possible, taking off his shirt and wrapping it around the wound to prevent anymore blood-loss.

As he did this, the shards of steel curved around, shooting at the man once more. In the mean time, Taraius snapped the fingers of his remaining arm, creating a large rain of liquidized metal above the Sicarian.

As the drops touched the floor, the grass of the plains began becoming covered in hardened steel, the same would happen to the Sicarian unless he did something.

Battling the King Empty Re: Battling the King

Please edit your post accordingly AGAIN. Understand the physics of what just happened. If the scythe had only penetrated your arm, then your entire arm would be gone, and you blood loss would be immeasurable. Also, if the scythe cut into your arm and shoulder (which it did), then you would not be able to fly, considering your wing would have been wounded as well.

Doesn't this seem crazy? Out of proportion? There has to be a away around this, a way to stop death. There has to be some mistake. However, Naga. Your character shouldn't even KNOW Xixas was behind you, meaning you would have had no idea when the attack was coming or where. Your character has no sensory abilities. Even if Xixas shouted at you, the Tier II speed he was moving at to strike you would be far too fast to even un-sheath your sword, let alone turn around. This is what real RP fights are like. Every second, every waking moment you're dancing with death, waiting until it's your turn to lead. This is what a real fight is like. The second you challenged me, you entered a whole new world of RP; the strongest. Characters die in one, two posts all the time when facing someone with an edge. Every advantage means the world, even the lack of knowledge of your opponent. Tairius is dead, but you are just being born. Naga. This defeat is not taking you down, it's building you up. The next time you make a character, you're welcome into Concuclare again. Except this time, you'll be stronger. I know it.
