Heroes of the Olympians Empty Heroes of the Olympians

Jace never asked to be thrown into a world beyond our very own. He knew it wasn't gonna take very long for things to go down south for him and his partner Nicholas. They were on a journey to search for the Child of Hades. They were in the month of October and it was rumored if the blood of Hades is spilled on the day of Halloween all monsters would rise from Tartarus and it would bring about an end to the world as we know it. The monsters couldn't have Hades so they got the next best thing. A demigod that has the gods blood running through his veins.

The quest started off with Jace a Child of Zeus, and Nicholas a child of Khione and Jace's friend Dawn a child of Aphrodite. Jace was chosen to go on this quest because everyone felt that a child of Zeus would do wonders for this quest. Jace disliked being a child of Zeus because everyone expected him to do great things and if he didn't he would feel like he failed his Father in some way. He looked down at the Black Imperial Gold Katana his father gave to him to congratulate him on making it to Camp Half-Blood alive. It was a mean move when you think about considering he had to fist fight monsters and run away and then all of a sudden once he's safe he is gifted with a weapon that could have easily killed those monsters. He felt weak that he had to run away, he was even tempted to have a last stand using a broken metal pipe he found at a construction site. But that's irrelevant at the moment. Now him and Nicholas were surrounded by a Manticore and 3 giants. What made the situation was worse was the death of Dawn.

Dawn was just brought along for the quest because she wanted to prove that just because she was a daughter of Aphrodite she could still handle herself in combat. Having her along was fun because whenever the quest seemed to be leading no where she would lighten the mood but now she was gone forever. Just earlier today Jace watched her die and her blood stained his face. She died by the very same Manticore that was in front of them now. She was picking berries in a field while Nicholas started a fire and Jace kept watch. He didn't think to look up at the sky but that's what led to the death of her. Her last words were "OOH BERRIES" and she ran off to pick them to make dinner. Then a large shadow loomed overhead and he turned around to see the Manticore's tail pierce through her heart. Jace stared in silence and he felt pressure building around himself. He freaked out and black electricity bursted out from within him. His eyes turned black as the electricity was even coming out of his eye sockets. With the speed of lightning he dashed to the beast and like a football player tackled into it. It dropped Dawn but took off flying. Jace tried to fly after him with his ability to control the winds but he hadn't practiced enough. He was to slow in the air and the beast escaped. He landed back down to see Nicholas standing over her and he covered her eyes. She was dead and it was all Jace's fault. Now the only thing on his mind was revenge. He and Nicholas both set off to search for the beast. After one hour of searching they found themselves in a trap on top of the roof of a building. They couldn't jump off the bulding to get away either due to the building they were up on. They were atop the tallest building in New York. That's right they were both on top of the Empire State Building surrounded by three giants and a Manticore.

Jace had his black katana drawn and sent surges of electricity through the tip at the monsters. The giants used their shields to block while the Manticore would fly into the air and land back down. The tallest giant wore a pink toga and had on sunglasses. He was maybe 9ft tall while the other two were 7ft tall and they were wearing purple togas with hats on. Jace thought that their sense of style was weird but that was irrelevant. Jace rushed towards the tallest giant. The giant went to stab Jace's abdomen but Jace was to fast. He did a vertical flip and landed on the tip of the javelin. He ran up the wooden shaft of the javelin and when he reached him he jumped up and dropped kicked the giant back. The giant stumbled backwards and tripped over a vent. He fell backwards and fell off the roof to his death. Jace did a back flip after the drop kick to land on his feet. He jumped back avoiding the swords of the other 2 giants who were yelling very mean things in Scottish accents "OI HOW DARE YA KILL OUR OLDER BOTHER!?" "YEAH HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU! HE JUST WANTED TO KILL YOU FOR ALCYONEUS. HE SAID IF WE GOT THE JOB DONE WE COULD VISIT HIM IN FLORIDA AND HELP HIM EXECUTE THE CHILD OF HADES IN 1 DAY!!!"

Jace smirked and looked at Nicholas. When the 3 Demigods were sent out they were told to meet with Pythia the Priestess to Apollo. They were told that she could help guide them on there quest but when they arrived at her domain she turned them down saying "I cannot help you... They're are bigger forces at work here and I don't want any part in the future war to come." These made a lot of questions pop into Jace's head but they were turned down and they couldn't go back empty handed. So they decided to ask around to see if they could get any leaked information. But now the giants just gave them the information they needed to know. The bad news was they had 1 day to get to Florida alive and on top of that they had to get out of this situation alive. He looked to Nicholas and said "Hey you wanna combine a Blizzard and a thunder storm?"

Heroes of the Olympians Empty Re: Heroes of the Olympians

Post by Zechs Sat Dec 06, 2014 11:06 pm

Nicholas was severely irritated by the constant speed bumps in their quest for his friend, so by the time Jace had looked over to him, he had already drawn his power, signaled by the thin veil of frost around him and a smirk on his face, "I'm glad to see you're on the same page." With a couple of twirls before thrusting his rapier to the sky, his parry dagger still sheathed for now, and brief silence befell the group, before snow and hail starting falling down at great speeds, and as they came closer, they sharply changed direction and orbited harshly around Nicholas' skyward sword, until finally bursting to expand the twirling blizzard of snow and hail around the general area, blinding all in its range completely whilst getting slashed with the ice shards, all except Nicholas and Jace, who stood in a small safe zone fit for two, albeit the only visible thing was the pure white blizzard around them.
Zechs let out a small sigh of exhaustion, but more of relief, as he pulled off the attack without failure. Now, it was Jace's turn, and he looked back over to him and nodded, "They lost the second they thought of taking us in combat." Taking out his parry dagger, Nicholas took his stance, readying for the next part in the attack by Jace, "Let's show them why."

Jace had a devilish smirk on his face as Nicholas was already ahead of him summoning a blizzard. The both of them were now in the middle of it all. A small protected zone that wouldn't hurt either of them. Jace took this into consideration as he summoned the thunder clouds for his thunder storm. He raised his katana into the air and began to summon a small bit of winds to make it windy. He then had lightning strike down on the blizzard and watched as it fused with it causing sparks to shoot out of it.

They were both still safe within the the safety spot but at any moment the sparks could shoot at them. Jace himself wouldn't be injured by it but he didn't know how well Nicholas could withstand electricity. Jace unsteadily flew out of the eye of the storm and watched as the monsters were pelted with sharp ice particles and little sparks of lightning. Jace chuckled and said "Indeed, we shall show them why!" He aimed his hand out and shot out mini spheres of lightning at the monsters. One of the giants was already turned to dust from the storm but the other grabbed his shield and was hiding behind both of the shields. Jace aimed towards the bottom of the shield and when the volley of attacks hit the shields tilted forward a bit leaving room for a large chunk of ice to hit him in the head turning him to dust.

The Manticore was their last problem. He was getting hit by the combination of ice shards and sparks but he could fly unlike the giants. He took to the skies and tried to fly away. Jace growled and said "YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY THIS TIME!" He then flew after the Manticore. It was as if he had practiced flying his whole life. He took off and used the speed of the winds to boost him. After 10 seconds Jace was behind the beast. He drew his sword and grabbed the tail with no fear of getting stung. He grabbed the stinger and cut it off. The beast stopped flying and wallowed in pain. It entered a free fall but caught itself. The beast looked up but it was to late. The last thing he would see was Jace crashing into him at high speeds with his sword plummeting into the beast eye. The beast died the moment his sword got submerged into his eye.

Jace flew back over to Nicholas and gave him a thumbs up. "We finally killed them all. Now we have one day to get to Florida to save your friend Ender." Jace looked over the edge of the roof and looked back. His pure black eyes pierced through his Nicholas' icy glare. "I know how we can get there just in time. I hope your okay with stealing a cop car." He looked back over the edge the only thing he had his eyes set on was a police station.

Heroes of the Olympians Empty Re: Heroes of the Olympians

Post by Six Sun Dec 07, 2014 3:37 pm

October 30th, 5:43 P.M.

Location: Unknown Florida residence

Ender scraped his knuckles against the cell wall for what felt like the millionth time. The skin was missing, his hand bloodied and coated in dry liquid. The pain was beginning to dull which meant soon, Ender would have to begin using his other hand. It was the only way to keep himself sane.

"State your name". In the dead of night, a figure clad in black cloth entered the dueling ring where Hex Ender trained alone. It wasn't uncommon for the occasional camper to find and challenge Ender during his nightly session and lose to him, but this person was different. By the shape of the figure, they were obviously feminine. Her robes were not something he'd seen before.

The woman took one arm from out of her cloak, pulled tight into a fist, putting Ender on guard. A moment later, two shadowy rods jettisoned from either side of her fist, taking form of a staff. Ender kept his weapon in tight grip as he watched, knowing what came next. One side of the stranger's weapon took shape into a long hook, the other into a bidet. Since the introduction of Anaklusmos, special weapons have been forged as a commodity in terms of wielding. Nearly every Demi-God owned one, each with its own special effect. As a combat specialist, Ender was not worried about his opponent, only her intentions. However, all doubts were shattered on the first clash.

The stranger rushed him with the bident tip and he threw himself into combat with his Gladius, feeling ill-equipped without Telikos. Ender was quickly over powered by the sheer speed and power his opponent commanded her staff with, only serving to fuel the fire inside Hex Ender. A gash across his cheek and he smiled viciously, feeling the lust for combat overtake him. How rare it was to face someone so skilled! How it felt to be challenged and pushed back!

Just as Ender landed a scratch against his opponent's hand, the battle ceased. The woman turned on her heels and sprinted across the yard with silent haste. Ender, feeling robbed of his battle cried out a wordless objection. He quickly followed, running as fast as he could sword in hand. The woman stopped just below the hill summit, still in view of the camp.

-I have you now, girl!- He thought and leapt at her as she did nothing to defend herself. Ender also stopped, but not by his own accord. His arms and legs refused to move forward, refused to attack. He looked down at himself, eyes flaring out in realization. Ethereal ropes bound his body, holding him in place. He struggled to no avail. He could see the source of the ropes in the trees beside them. They were obviously monsters, thick fangs and runic skin. But how? No monster could enter Ca- No, here they could. The woman lured him inches outside the Camp... Idiot! He only had time to curse the woman before him just as her fist thrust into his stomach. A flash of pain, a blur, then darkness.

Ender awoke in a cell to the sound of singing, the metal walls reflecting the sounds. Hex instantly knew the voice as a Siren's, remembering the music from experiences past, meant to slowly rip away his focus and plunge him into insanity. The pain, however, was real. It kept him awake. The only thing he could do was wait in the darkness, fighting the slow descent into madness.

Heroes of the Olympians Empty Re: Heroes of the Olympians

Post by Flynn Sun Dec 07, 2014 5:33 pm

Pain lanced through my wrists, as I threw my Chakram yet again. The eight-pointed stars launched through the air, sailing toward the large, half-snake woman in front of me. Once more she blocked, just in time with her curved swords. The blades returned, regardless- as they were forged to do.

Curses!...

The serpentine half of the woman was long, the tip of her tail covered in sharpened blades on some form of band- creating a very fast, and aggressive third arm. Sweat dripped into my eyes- the battle had been going on for at least an hour- and it wasn't the only one. All around me the sounds of battle echoed throughout the forest- Campers fighting against giants, scorpions, cyclops, and several other monsters. The Apollo children stayed behind the barrier, shooting arrows at the monsters whenever able, and carrying the injured back to camp for ambrosia and rest.

KLANG!

I blocked another lash from the Lamia-imitation's tail, before slashing at it with my right Chakram. Her black, beady eyes locked onto mine- her grin showing that she was just toying with me at this point. Sleep deprivation weighed my muscles down- four days of inconsistent battles to defend Camp Half-Blood from monsters finally caught up with me.

I threw my left Chakram at the wrong moment- thinking she was going to feint with her right sword. Rather, she decided to go in full- not using the tail blade like I thought she would have. Pain lanced through my side, and I stumbled. The Lamia laughed, the shrill sound echoing in my ears- a bad sign for me. My vision began to bend, straightening into a tunnel before dimming. Panicking, I fell to my knees- just as the Lamia raised both of her swords. All around us, the sounds of battle slowly stopped- Campers shocked at the event, and monsters anticipating a death. My death- the daughter of Poseidon -would give them more than moral. It'd give them the camp.

Father... Please, help me... I can't do this alone...

Bowing my head, I was almost prepared to give in- I was tired. Four days of defending the camp, and almost two days since Ender's search party- Dawn, Nicholas, and Jace -had left. Four days of wondering when another wave of monsters were attacking, and two since some of our best warriors had left their tasks to me.. My muscles couldn't take it anymore. Looking up slowly, I saw that the snake-woman was smirking. She was enjoying my misery, and was taking her time so as to relish the victory.

Then, it began to rain.

As though the heavens were opening up some hidden reserve, water poured down. Almost immediately, my muscles were relieved. All of the pain was erased- and the Lamia knew it. Metal clashed with metal once more- my right Chakram holding both of her swords. Red hair stuck to my face, but didn't hide my grin from the Lamia. Effortlessly, I held the stance- raising my weapon slowly, standing. Water seemed to gather around me, a blessing from my father in my time of need. As though it knew my thoughts, the water held the Lamia- her arms and body stopped by the water. Thrusting one of my Chakram's four prominent blades through her heart, I smiled broadly. The monster burst into dust- along with several others when the Campers moral was boosted.

"Thank you, Father..."

The water turned warm, just long enough for me to understand him conveying love. Turning back toward the line, I threw both Chakram at stray monsters, dust mixing with mud as I continued.

Nicholas... Jace.... Dawn..... Hurry up, and find him. We can't take too much more of this..

Heroes of the Olympians Empty Re: Heroes of the Olympians

Post by Zechs Sun Dec 07, 2014 6:09 pm

"This isn't my ideal way of going about things, but now's not the time to pick and choose." Nicholas made his way to the exit, and looked back to Jace before going, "I highly doubt this will succeed, as attempts for things like these haven't exactly gone down smoothly. But let's hope for success, we've come too far at this point." Nicholas left with those words, going for the elevator, not waiting up for Jace as he was sure he had his own way of getting down. Upon entering the elevator, Nicholas held the close button to keep a straight shot to the bottom. "Say this plan works, we should reach Florida just in time. Perhaps those monsters from before shall be our biggest obstacle.. On my pride, we won't fail this."

The elevator opened, and Nicholas rushed outside and ran down the street to see the police station. "Alright, the plan now is to- What?" In a moment, he heard the sounds of a car, a police car, show up. As he watched, the car came to a sudden halt as the man they had arrested made a run for it, "Now's my chance!" Nicholas sprinted across the street and around the car to enter it, which had its doors open from the panicked police officers. Getting into the passenger seat, he noticed the officers had already caught up to the runner, and soon would've seen him. In a quick decision, he froze the ground below the officers and their general area in black ice, which may have given him some time.

Everything was a success in regards to recovering the car, until a gun shot was heard from a third officer from the building, although nothing was hit, nor anyone. "Warning shots? Tch.. They'll be firing at us shortly, can't say we're not deserving of them.." Unsure of what to do, and in fear of the incoming gunshots, Nicholas jumped into the driver seat, started the car and began to drive away, the police now started firing, but nothing hit. The other officers noticed, and tried to run after him, but slid on the black ice. Nicholas' driving was fairly slow for Jace, but enough to get away from the police. "Hurry up, Jace.. This is getting bad.."

Heroes of the Olympians Empty Re: Heroes of the Olympians

Jace let out a little laugh as his comrade had to take the mortal elevator. He jumped off the Empire State Building entering an epic free fall. He stopped himself using the winds midway. He wondered what people would see because of the mist but he just shook his head. He had eyes on Nicholas and watched as the man ran away. Nicholas then got into the car and Jace saw a third officer exit out of the building Jace flew at him and smacked the gun out of his hand. The officer picked it up and shot at Jace.(The first gunshot that Nicholas heard.)

Jace leaned back as he was now on the ground dodging the bullet. The officer began to shoot at Jace multiple times. All of the bullets were of course dodged due to his lightning fast reflexes. After the cop ran out of ammo, Jace smacked him with the blunt end of his katana knocking him out. He began to make his way for the car when more cops came out and shot at him. Their were so many bullets flying at Jason he knew he couldn't dodge them all. He ducked and weaved but got shot in his chest. He coughed up a bit of blood then got shot again in his leg.

With all his might he pushed using the power of the winds to knock all the cops off their feet. Jace then jumped into the air and began to fly. The two cops yelled at Jace and drew their weapons but tripped on the black ice laid out by Nicholas. Jace smiled as without knowing it his friend had his back. He caught up to the car rather quickly and he smacked the passenger window with his katana breaking it on impact. He then jumped into the car and leaned back getting blood all over his leather jacket and the car seat behind them. Jace looked at where the bullet had went and saw it was around his heart. He hoped it hadn't bounced around inside him and he threw off his leather jacket. He then took off his shirt and touched his back looking and praying to the gods for an exit wound. He finally felt one and saw it felt pretty nasty. "Thank the gods... But wow mortal weapons hurt."

He looked to the back grating and saw a shotgun in between him and Nicholas. He smirked as he knew they would never need it considering the powers they possessed. He leaned over and checked his leg and saw their was an exit wound as well. He cursed as he remembered that him and Nicholas had lost there back packs filled with Ambrosia and Nectar back around the time Dawn died. He looked to Nicholas and said "I need you to place your hand on my chest and generate Ice. If I don't cover this up with something effective I'll bleed out and die." He chuckled "what a way to go. A son of Zeus killed by a cop. That would suck."

Nicholas cringed at his friend's wounds, and heeded his words. "Honestly, this is what you get for showing off. Same could be said for our fight in the arena. You took the most damage, Jace." First pulling up his white jacket's sleeve, he put his hand on the center of his chest, ice slowly forming over him, and his wound, and continued to freeze over his shoulder to the wound on his back to close both. "That should hold you for a while. I thank you for your decoy, though." Nicholas continued to drive away from the station, realizing what they were in. A police car. In a city like this. "Why did you choose this of all vehicles?! They'll be on us in minutes, Jace!" Continuing through the streets, heading for the border, he accidentally passed another cop car waiting at the intersection. "Huh? They aren't..?" Passing without a problem, he was confused for a moment before coming to realize its most likely explanation, "The Mist.. Could it be that strong..?"

"So it seems our quest continues, then. Jace, you heard the giant's words, right? It seems we only have a day to get to Florida. If all goes well, we should get there in time. Our mission is not over, yet." As they drove further down, voices came in on their radio, asking for the location and status of their car number. Hesitant, Nicholas grasped the radio in silence before speaking. "Ye-" Stopping, Nicholas grunted and coughed for a deeper voice, speaking up again, "Yes, we're fine. We spotted a uh, rouge, car. .. Heading out of the city! So, we're scouting. That's our job. We're fine. .. How're you?" Hanging up quickly, Nicholas stepped on the gas and headed straight out of the city toward New Jersey, not for a second thinking his act held for very long. "We have to get out of here. Now."

Jace had a hint of a smile on his face when he mentioned the arena fight. The suicide dive he took to end his fight left him with many broken bones. "I like to... Use my body when I fight... If I have to sacrifice a bone or two to get the job done... Believe me I will." He then felt the ice forming over him and he just stared at drivers window his eyes wide open. "C-c-c-cooooooold. This is freezing..." He took out his sword and hit the piece of ice that went over his shoulder "I need mobility in this arm. With that ice chunk there I won't be able to move my arm." He then heard what he said about the cop car "Well you see. We don't have enough time to just drive like normal people. We need to use the siren to just push our way to Florida. Also don't stop for gas. Just tell me if we're running low and I'll zap the car and let it run off my electricity."

"Listen Nicholas... When we met we were friends. This quest has made us brothers." Looks to him and gives him a thumbs up and a cheerful smile. "Now brother... We are up against Alcyoneus... He's a child of the earth Titan Gaia. He is the only giant that can be killed under normal circumstances... The only problem with that is we need to remove him from his native land. And it seems like he's chosen Florida, which means you and me and possibly your friend Ender will have to lead him out of the state to kill him..."

Jace wasn't in the right state of mind due to what happened to Dawn and the fact that they had to take on a giant. He then listened to Nicholas awkwardly talk to the officers over the radio. He listened to him tell someone "We're fine...How're you?" After he hanged up Jace just busrted out with laughter. It got to the point where his stomach hurt. After he stopped he looked at Nicholas saying "Really? How're you?" He then continued to laugh.

Nicholas shot the laughing Jace an icy glare, accompanied by his hand reaching for the radio, "Want me to call them back so you can have a shot at it? We should just focus on getting out of here. My performance was great, but not that great." Nicholas neared the city's border, and was soon out of Manhattan and in the clear for now. The sights along the way and the drive itself should've, and by a normal person, would've been considered nice, had it not been the circumstances and the fact police had become their enemy. They wasted no time, and all of their gas along the way, soon resorting to Jace's power, which hadn't drained him for very long, as they ran out relatively near Florida. For every state they entered, their car had changed to seem like a vehicle from that very state from the normal eye, dropping the heat of them quite a bit.

After their long ride, Florida had finally entered view, and success was achieved on that end. Now, the next step was their rescue, and upon entering the state, Nicholas' first thought was where his friend was located, and their means to finding him. Finding the nearest abandoned parking lot, Nicholas parked the car and got out as fast as he could, trying to separate himself from his action as best he could. Looking around their area, Nicholas realized.. "We had no plan of action coming here." Walking a few steps forward, Nicholas gazed at the looming buildings in front of them, only thinking of how absentminded he was, "Well great. What now?"

Jace continued to laugh "You thought that was great? You asked them how're they doing. They didn't even ask how we were doing." He continued to laugh until Nicholas said something about he himself giving it a try. Jace stared at him saying "I uh... I'd rather not... Great performance... That should be enough for now." Jace thought it was weird to laugh in a situation like this. They needed to get to Florida but it seemed as though they were actually gonna make it so who cared if they shared a laugh or two. Jace grabbed his black leather jacket and put it on. He then grabbed the T-shirt with the bullet hole in it and threw it out the window he had broken earlier. After about twenty hours they arrived to Florida and when they reached a convenient spot they stopped and stepped out of the car.

Jace's spirits were raised as he actually believed they could make it and save Ender. Then Nicholas' expression turned glum and he said the obvious. They had no idea how to actually found Ender in Florida. Jace himself was beginning to freak out. He was gonna fail the camp and they would be overrun. Ender was gonna die and there was nothing he himself could do to stop it. He was about to crumble to his knees and give up when he looked up and saw someone sitting down in a full set or Imperial Golden armor. He was holding out a cup as if he was homeless person asking for people to spare change. Jace drew his sword and he walked over to him. Ever step he made sounded like lightning striking. For some reason Jace was angry. The people he considered family at Camp Half Blood were fighting for there lives while this person was just sitting down trying to get spare change.

Jace went to him and lifted him up by his under shirt which was orange and faded but you could make out the word Camp. As Jace picked him up his helmet fell off and it revealed a teen with gray eyes and long black hair that reached down to his back. The kid looked up at him with his gray eyes and Jace stared back. The whites in Jace's eyes began to fade and turn pure black as he was radiating his energy. The pressure around him was building and the floor at his feet began to crack. Jace broke through the kids gaze and said "What the heck are you doing here." The teen began to tremble and said "A child born of cursed lightning and snow shall walk down the path of redemption. They shall find the Prince of Death and provide him protection. Cause if he dies the mortal world shall be thrown into a different dimension." Jace looked at the kid as he was truly confused of what he said. He began to calm down and stopped releasing his power. The whites in his eyes returned and electricity stopped sparking out of him. He looked to Nicholas and said "Nicholas did you hear that? It sounded like a prophecy!!!" The teen nodded and said "I was an Oracle and we all know that they come and go. But it seems as though I had disappeared ages ago." Jace smiled as he knew this kid could actually help him. He was so happy he dug into his pockets and pulled out a few drachmas and was about to drop them in his cup when he the teen said "A prophecy for your coins. Drop em in and I will refrain from punching you in the groin." Jace let out a little laugh and dropped them in.

The kid's eyes went white and he gripped Jace's wrist. "You shall find the child of Hades in Clearwater. It is there where one army shall be slaughtered. An Army of three, versus an army of many. The victory can be claimed by any." His eyes came back and he shook his head a bit and nodded at Jace. Jace was so happy that he could hug the kid but he knew they had no time. "Nicholas our fates are changing. We're gonna save Ender and return with him. I can't believe it... We're gonna save the camp. Now let's get a move on. Clearwater is a three in a half hour drive. We have four hours before midnight.

He turned to run to the car but stopped midway. "Oi oracle kid. We're gonna come back for you. I'm sorry for scaring you but we need you back at the camp. Survive for now and we will return for you." The kid nodded and scurried off to another corner. Jace turned back to go to the car when in front of him was a black Pegasus that had a weird glow. Their eyes met, and it was black against black. Jace's mind went blank as if being put into some sort of trance. Next thing he knew the Pegasus lifted up it's front legs and kicked him forward. The kick sent him flying back and he expected to crash into something hard. He was wrong as something snatched him up in mid air. The whiplash cracked his back which really hurt and when he looked up he saw he was in the hands of a giant. The giant smiled at Jace and began to squeeze. Jace tried his best not to cry out in pain which he did very easily but you could hear cracks. He felt an immense amount of pain and he coughed up blood. He then heard another giant call out in an Italian accent. "YO WHAT DO YOU THINK YER DOING. WE NEED HIM ALIVE FOR THE BOSS." The giant that held him tightly sighed and punched Jace in his face. The hit didn't knock him out which the giant noticed, so he dangled him up in the air and let him go. Jace was then met with a knee to his face which knocked him out cold. Ten giants then came surrounding Nicholas. All of them held swords and shields and were all identical to one another. One of them called out "Give it up little Demi-God... We need to bring you to Alcyoneus so you won't get in the way of his plans." All of the giants smiled at the same time.

Nicholas nodded to the kid who gave them the prophecies as a gesture of thanks. His mind was starting to clear, and the prophecies were stuck in his mind, but what he took from it at the very moment was his friend's location. They were nearing the end of all it all, and he could feel it. "Seems you won't fail the camp after all. " Continuing, Nicholas walked after Jace, although not looking forward, as he was looking in the pocket inside of his jacket for his watch. Although before he could pull it out, Jace flew past his peripheral vision. "What the-?!" Nicholas sharply turned, and saw a giant holding his friend, but was soon confronted with other giants, "Tch.. Your destiny is to lose. Fighting us is pointless." Nicholas drew only his rapier, but instantly he noticed his energy was nearly depleted from his fight in Manhattan. "This is bad.." Despite his odds, Nicholas had to fight to what was seeming to be his death. If that time is here, then I won't die without some kind of fight!"

The giants all surrounded Nicholas, seeming confident in their numbers. That would be the weakness Nicholas would pounce on. They all had shields, which put him at a slight disadvantage, but with the right thrusts, he could pierce their defenses. Possibly. Taking his stance, Nicholas watched for the first striker in a fight that screamed losing battle in his mind, and yet, running never became an option to him. "Fight until the end, to grant your enemy victory, or bestow them defeat. Those are my only options.."
The first swing was made, from the giant that was in front of Nicholas, allowing him to easily side step the downward swing, and make a quick thrust to knock the sword away, and jump back to the center of the small space enclosed by the giants. Then another attack was made, this time by two other giants parallel from each other with Nicholas in between. They both made a horizontal swing, but in the same direction, allowing him to roll under the blades, but vulnerable to an attack from behind, and was struck with a shield bash to the ground. His energy had been depleted, and getting up was a challenge in itself. He felt his body being lifted up, before completely blacking out.

Nicholas slowly gained consciousness, but everything was pitch black and felt his breath hit his face. He had a bag over his head. Nicholas made a few connections to where he might've been judging from the prophecies and the last words of the giants. It only took a few moments before the bags were taken off, and the first thing Nicholas adjusted his eyes to was a pile of.. Diamonds, rubies, and other precious gems, that gleamed in the moonlight, as well as the water that softly brushed over the sands which they stood on. Despite what he saw, what also confused him was the fact it held the torn off roof of a car for a sun reflector. "At night..?" The time of day, or now at the moment, night, reminded Nicholas of his watch, so looking down at the pocket inside of his unzipped jacket, Nicholas made out the watch to find it read, "11:49.. This is bad.." Nicholas looked over to Jace, who had also had the bag taken off, but was still unconscious. Looking back over to the pile of jewels, Nicholas now focused in more, to make out a sort of face in it. "Is that the..?"

Jace had been knocked unconscious for a few hours. When he awoke he was on his knees with a bag over his head. How he was awakened? A smack from one of the giants that captured him. He began to shake and squirm until the bag fell off his face. He looked around and took in his settings. They were on a beach. Right near the shore of Clearwater, in the distance you could see lamps just like the one over Nicholas and him. Off in the distance Jace saw a pile of precious gems. His eyes went wide open and began to remember the stories of Alcyoneus. He was the only child of Gaia who could be killed without the help of a god. But on top of that he was made out of precious gems that are priceless.

Jace could see Diamonds, Gold, Rubies, Emeralds, etc. He then saw how he was using the top of a roof as one of those reflective sun tanning things. Jace was in pain from the events that occurred before he was knocked out. He tried to stand up but he was shaking far to much and fell back down to his knees. He tried once again and this time he was perfectly stable aside from a few shakes. The giants were behind both him and Nicholas but one of them were missing. He then heard a loud rumble and the giant himself Alcyoneus stood up. His light from the lamp reflected off his gems causing a blinding light to shine. The light died down as he walked over to the two Demigods. He smiled and you could see his teeth were made from the finest of gold. "Well, well, well look at what we have here. A child of Zeus and a child of Khione. Did you two really think you guys could save this child of Hades? Oi Lester bring him out."

Jace looked over his eyes wide open as he saw a kid with hair the same color that his was. They also shared the same eye color and skin color. But Jace himself knew that they were not born of the same god. The aura he gave out with deadly. He was a true Prince of the underworld. He was bound by multiple chains and the giant was holding onto all of them. Jace looked at Ender then to Nicholas and said "It isn't midnight yet. We're gonna save Ender..." Jace began to think of a plan but with no luck.

Heroes of the Olympians Empty Re: Heroes of the Olympians

Post by Flynn Tue Dec 16, 2014 6:30 pm

The sweet taste of my mothers Irish Rock Stew filled my mouth for the last time today, as I finished the ambrosia square. Rubbing my hands together, the tattoos on the palms of my hands sprung into their Chakram form, and I walked through the Nymph's barrier. The monsters were getting desperate, and so were we.

Almost midnight..

I said a quick prayer to my father, and then to Jace's father. After that was Dawn's, and Nicks. Finally, out of desperation, I included the father of Ender- a hopeful prayer that he would somehow help his son in this desperate time. Finishing, I launched myself at the nearest monster.

"For my friends... Ionsaí!"

Heroes of the Olympians Empty Re: Heroes of the Olympians

Ender had ripped his shirt into ribbons, tying the muddled fabric into bandages around his knuckles. They carried-- or rather dragged him out by his arms across the shoreline with massive hands, leaving Ender with no doubt there would be majour bruising later, if there happened to be a later. He had noticed within the moment his friend's foolish attempt to save him alongside another young man who must have been one of the quest trio. Ender could only assume any third was dead. In honesty, he had expected a rescue attempt around this time considering the barrier was lost without its patriarch. He only hoped that once he was dead, his father would revive the barrier within another one of his children. The only regret Ender truly had was that his friend would have to die with him. In the afterlife, the son of Hades made a promise to slap the Ambrosia out of Nicholas for his failed, naive attempt at heroism.

In one of his many endless daydreams, Hex had always imagined a situation his currently where some incredible hero took an impossible opportunity to save the lives of the captured, finishing his adversary with a gruesome yet highly acceptable pun.

However, Ender was a dreamer, not a fool. He had accepted his fate.

After a few moments, they reached the shore. The water lapped at Ender's bare feet, sending chills down his body. It woke him up, forced his mind to be more aware of the situation, and more aware of the shrilling pain coursing through his upper half. With the fog in his mind escaping, his body contorted for a moment in pain. The giant holding him on his left took it as an escape attempt and clubbed Ender's ear, forcing his thoughts back into a dulled, painful echo. However, the freezing Autumn air and icy sea brought him back to reality once more.

Ender heard the unmistakable voice of another giant, rough and powerful. However, Ender's attention was elsewhere. On the hip of a skinny reptilian beast clad in an array of leather belts did he see Telikos. Simply the sight of his beloved weapon with another, especially such a feeble creature enraged him more than he expected, ignoring the logical voice inside telling him to let it go. Adrenaline coursed through him for the first time in what felt like years.

Scanning outward, Ender could feel the winds picking up. He could feel a force of life foreign to his senses. The boy with Nicholas... He was more than the expected Demi-God. A gale began a path of serpentine around him, twisting into a cyclone that stole the voices and attention of all within the area. The massive giant clad in fuddled gems and granite cursed loudly, shielding his eyes. The raw power was astounding, but the point origin lie outside of this boy's capabilities... ...However, that only meant there was a spark of possibility.

Telikos. The voices of the departed spoke inside of his mind, slicing through the doubt and inhibitions within leaving nothing but embarrassment at being captured and tricked. Ender shattered that wall to find fear, fear of being bested again... Of failing again, of losing. The barricade crumbled away with a breath. Guided by the blackening abyss of the murdered, Ender was left with only one tether to this world behind the gates of hatred and detest.

RAGE

And so heralded the fellstorm.

Heroes of the Olympians Empty Re: Heroes of the Olympians

Jace stared at Ender. He was examining every bit of him since he rarely conversed with him and would barely see him at times. He noticed that his knuckles had a cloth wrapped around them as if to cover up some sort of wound. Blood was dripping down his hands, the wound must have been pretty gruesome. Jace wanted to give up. He was angry and now he had led his friend to his certain death as all three of them were gonna die. Jace's heart began to beat faster and faster with adrenaline coursing through his veins. Little did he know a cyclone of winds were building around him. The giants that were holding him let go of him and backed up a bit.

The power that surrounded Jace was something he had never felt before. He had a feeling this was a blessing of some sorts but none of that mattered. Sharp winds were building around him cutting any monster that got near him. Jace smirked and crossed his arms over his chest. He looked at Ender and stretched out his arms causing the cyclone to explode sending sharp wins everywhere. The giants that held onto him and Nicholas were cut to pieces. He watches as the giants that held onto Ender got sent flying backward due to the sheer harshness of the wind. Jace smiled but he felt weak. The attack took a lot out of him but it did enough. Upon further inspection the winds were fast enough and cut through some of the chains allowing Ender a chance to survive. The giant himself Alcyeoneus was cursing and a few gems fell off of his body. Jace looked over to where Ender had been and saw that a creature had a weapon strapped to his side. As if out of pure coincidence the winds sent the monster flying back and cut the weapon strap sending the weapon hurdling in the air. The wind slowed down the blade and it gently landed next to Ender. Jace looked to Nicholas and said "I guess it's time for a comeback."
