The tents of the Remnants were all camouflaged. Walking towards them, I could barely notice them with the leaves and coloring around them- and that must've taken time to accomplish. I pulled my cape tighter around me, knowing the stark white would leave me obvious against the forest's deep colors. Vestail kept her ears up, and tail low to the ground. She was aware that we were walking into something.

"Zechs Renaurd. I've come to request an audience with you."

Eyes met mine as I walked past the tents- men and women huddling deeper within. Men with weapons stared at me in confusion, keeping their blades trained on me. With no guide, I merely walked towards the middle of the encampment- where the only fire was. Vestail, of course, was watching everyone- this lead to a very stoic, and stiff positioning of her body. Nose forward and tail down, we pressed forward.

"Zechs Renaurd, the Dragon of Glaciers! The Preventing Gale! The White Fox!"

I held out my hand, calling the Northern Wind into a sword. The guards pressed around me, finally, and kept me at the center with the tips of their swords toward my throat. Ignoring them completely, I awaited the King of Concuclare.

Zechs sat in the back of his tent, papers and maps scattered around him, seats of his generals were empty, he sat alone reviewing subjects discussed in meetings beforehand. As he stared reading, the atmosphere changed, and he could sense unease outside, the winds he could feel kicked up, and his attention was drawn to the outside before he heard a woman's voice outside call his name, and the different titles he hadn't heard in ages. "What is this.." Zechs sat up from his seat, and slowly emerged from his quarters, the wind outside kicked his jacket and white hair around, and the sight before him put a grimace on his face at first glance. "Stand down, and lower your weapons at once!"

The guards, still on edge, heeded their command, and stepped back, allowing a path for Zechs to move forward and meet their guest. As Zechs neared, his scowl slowly left, and for each step, a new question in his mind. Before he could muster a possible answer, he was met with a woman who had a fox by her side, and he met his eyes with hers. Upon seeing the one who stood before him, words escaped his mouth, and his line of questions were completely wiped. He slowly realized who he was looking at, but at the sight he witnessed back then, he remembered the feeling that day rush back into him, yet the more she stood there, the more he accepted the fact she was alive.

"You are.."

The emotions that played across his face made my heart break. That day's events played through my mind's eye, and the horrified look that we shared as I was thrown out the window to what was supposed to be my death was the last image I was allowed of my brother. The North wind, bless her, was inquisitive upon sensing my sibling. Almost immediately the gales that were cutting through the area slowed to a gentle breeze- and my sword was still at the ready. I had no idea how this would play out, after hearing of the Crested, along with how my brother became a ruler alongside a Cae.

Holding my sword, broad side toward him, I held his gaze. The stoic mask that he had held ever since he was a child was gone, and all that was there now was a naked grasp of hope. The North wind, finally realizing who this was, kept my weapon solid. Slowly I knelt- sinking the tip of my blade into the earth at Zechs' feet.

"I.. Sikhav... Have hopefully... I request... I-I mean....."

I was finally slipping up, the emotions having caught to me as the reality of this being MY brother, MY only living kin, caught up to me. Memories of us laughing together, running through the castle kitchens, putting an airbag within the seat cushions of the thrones, of putting salt in the sugar shakers, of tying the curtains of the bath house together with small knots, of using our parents horses to run throughout the yards, of plying hide and seek in the diplomatic halls.... All of these memories rushed out of their carefully sealed bottle, causing a lump in my throat to form. I met the eyes of my brother once more.. Caring not that a pleading look was splashed across my face, that my emotions were bare unto him and the others around us.

"I want to come home..."
