The Thrill of the Clutch Empty The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Octo Sat Nov 14, 2015 6:00 pm

Where: A dimly-lit room, all flat walls, no receptacles. Dark paint covering all the walls, and... Ah, yes! All of the walls but one. Let's see... How can I make them question their sanity to incomprehensible levels?
...That, that! A room with all black-painted, unbreakable, non-destroyable, impenetrable walls! With the only exception being...

The Thrill of the Clutch KH3D_1125_1

A single wall! Yes, this one shall be adorned with a clown's head. For good measure. Should probably be mechanical. Don't want to kill any clowns at this point. Heh. Heheh.
But under the head? And arch! A curved arch! And under the arch? Nothing! Darkness! Niente! Ah, but I guess I shouldn't cover the rest of the wall there. The guests need somewhere to waddle over to, I guess. So, under the arch... A dark path! Sì, sì! That should give them some creepy-meepies. "Heeby-jeebies", was it? Eh, whatever.

So dark room with no exit but a single arch leading to an unknown path. I'll decide what they see after. That is...
...If they reach the "after". Heh. That'd be funny. Blasphemous, really. Shouldn't get my hopes up too far for the guests.

Ah, but the rules! The rules! Guess I'll print them up on cheap paper and stamp them on the wall opposite to the arch or somethin'. I don't think they'll mind. Who cares about rules, right? Though they better pay attention to 'em. I might not like them if they disobey the rules. In fact, I should get my blacklist ready. Might need to jot down some names after we get started.

Who: ...Who? I remember I told the succubi to pick up some people on the bus and drive them here. Six people, I believe? Hey, that's enough for a nice, warm meet-up party. Alrighty.
Hm... But the guests might arrive drowsy from the succubi's charms. Eh, guess I'll need to get some pretty loud speakers at the starting room to wake them up. That should really shut down their lung-engines, right? Ahahaha! Oho! I need to write that one down. "Lung-engines". I even laugh at myself from how funny I am. Really, I deserve a prize for that one.

Alright, alright. We've got the "where"; a dark room with a huge clown arc on one side, and the rules on the opposite wall. No escape, too!
And the "who"... I know there's gonna be six people. Don't really care who.

With the "where" and "who" done... Let's see. What are we missing? "When"? It's not like they have to worry about that. My succubi should be picking them up right about now.
Ah, right. A "why". I guess we need one of those. Alright. Let's see...

Why:
...
...Because your mamma said so! Ahahaha!
Oh, man. I really need to go easy on the guests with my humor.

...

Padrone, the guests have arrived. They lay sound asleep in the room, as per your request. Whenever you're ready to start, now.

Ah, grazie, grazie! I'll be taking care of these bambini now. Alright, alright! Cominciamo, cominciamo already! I can't wait!

The speaker... Speaks! Bambini, listen!

Hey! Wake up, sleepy-heads! Sheep might go extinct if you count any more! Hehehe.
Anyways, anyways! This beautiful, vicarious voice coming from a huge clown's head belongs to me, Don Burlone! I have a name, but I'd rather have you call me like that, thank you very much. Before you mispronounce it, it's "boor-loh-neh", alright? I don't wanna hear you anomaly-faced, mentally archaic duckbrains mispronouncing it, eh? Ah! But, back on track! Hehe, I can't drift away too much. But I'm just... So... Excited, sì!

Because I think you're all pretty cool, I've invited you to my very own personal playground! It's just something I want to share with you all. Don't worry, it'll be a fun ride! Trust me! Only because I'm a depressive, mana-addict, divorced, kleptomaniac hunchback doesn't mean I'm not a man of word!
...Hoho! I lied about myself, see? Bet I got you all real good. Actually, it'd probably be better if you don't trust me at all.

After y'all get your heavy bonkers off the floor, better go read up on the rules I've stuck to the wall opposite to this one. The one opposite to where this voice is coming from. Opposite to the clown head. So, turn one-eighty degrees. Please? Do it. Don't be a jerk.
I've set up some rules for a game! So nice of me, right? This playground would be pretty much useless without something to play in it. So... Let's all have fun!

Ah, and for the dull, 'Boohoo, I don't wanna play!' bambini, I've done something very special to get you motivated to play with your friends! See, if you don't start playing soon, I will shut down the doors under this arc! So no more fun for you after that. Plus, I will call a special acquaintance to chastise you. Bambini should have fun, right? So those who don't want to play along will be shut down and re-educated! It's as simple as that, really.
Oh, and no running away! These walls are pretty weak, but you lack the power to overcome them at this point.

I believe that's all I have to say. Not much as of yet. But don't worry! I'll be monitoring you twenty-four-seven-eleven! I guess that's how you say it. So... You bambini won't be alone! No reason to wet your socks!
And... Once more! Read the rules! Stick to them like two magnets of equal charge! I'll be expecting some great fun out of you. Proceed down the dark, relentless path below this clown's happy, never-changing face!

Entrai, entrai! E não olhai para trás!

My condolences! Have fun!

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Six Sat Nov 14, 2015 6:21 pm

Corren Gray inhaled fervently. A breathe of air untasted, a sensation of time unfamiliar. This was someplace new. The young Seraph hovered an inch above the ground, one set of wings extended using their arcane energies to hold him suspended as we awoke. However, despite the seventeen foot wingspan, there were no trace of wings or feathers. To any peering eye, he appeared as a young lad an inch airborne.

What is there to see?

Corren ruffled his robes and flattened them against him in an attempt to stimulate his senses and force his body into full consciousness. -Sleep? I needed some time to doze.. But this isn't my quarter, I believe..-

A voice droned on with exceptional dynamics and a tone of speech Corren found.. Entertaining to listen to. He memorized the words given to him and took them nearly biblical. As every new standing, one must surrender themselves to what they do not yet understand..

Papers posted on the wall. Corren ruffled the leaflet sheet with an extended veiled wing and absorbed its information. "So a game.. Is it. I can't say I'm thrilled. I'd rather clutch this out on my own. ..However..." Corren turned his gaze to the groggily awakening silhouettes of what could only be company. He grimaces painfully and turned to lie on his back, the air suspending his weight.

"I really, really don't want to have to play a multiplayer".

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Flynn Sat Nov 14, 2015 7:21 pm

My eyes flashed open, darkness greeting me like an old friend. The Voice gave its introduction and speech, and I knew- immediately -that we were in an area entirely different from anywhere I had been before. Looking around, I was blinded by a bright arch of light, and had to take a moment to adjust before standing up.

These Rules...

Taking a sheet of paper off the wall, I read it over and over. Anger that we were being toyed with flashed through me, and light burst from my eyes as I crushed the flier in my hand. Surveying my surroundings once more, I counted five others. Two had spoken, and one was obviously against the group rules. The other merely stated the obvious.

"Joyous.. We're playing in someone else's game.."

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Scarecrow Sat Nov 14, 2015 8:18 pm

Sleep? Sleep is no longer a necessity but a pleasure. After getting through training from someone that people referred to as the God of Death, Sumaru barely slept. He found it strange when he awoke from what seemed like a deep slumber to the voice of a man with what seemed to be an accent of some sorts. It wasn't very obvious but it was easy to tell due to him using a dialect that wasn't English in his sentences.

Sumaru's eyes felt heavy as they slowly opened. Must've been a good nights sleep but he did not remember laying down. His last thoughts were that of being sent out to execute a Knight of an old world order that no longer exists. During the debriefing for the mission, Sumaru questioned what had happened to the order. His Master smirked and crossed his arms.

"Ouren happened."

Sumaru with his eyes wide open sat up and perched himself up against a wall. He rubbed his eyes and looked around to see his surroundings. Silver the Knight would have to wait. He scanned the area to see 2 people standing up and another floating in the air. He noticed 2 more bodies on the floor still asleep. He cursed under his breath as he sat up and obeyed this "Don Burlone" person. He walked over to the wall but saw no paper. He then noticed wearing armor crush the only paper with the rules on them. He snatched the paper from the persons hand and looked up to the mysterious person.

(Directed to Rae) "Try not to ruin things for the rest of us. It's pretty selfish to try and ruin the only paper which bares the rules for this demented persons game."

Upon opening the paper he found it wrinkled but still readable. He let out a sigh and placed the paper back on the wall after thoroughly analyzing it. He put the rules back on the wall and pinned it in place with one of his silver daggers since someone decided to rip it off the wall. He then wandered over to the darkest corner in the room and stayed there until things progressed.

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Zechs Sat Nov 14, 2015 8:48 pm

A voice. A very peculiar voice danced through the half-awake mind of Zechs, forcing him to wake from his sleep. His rest left him wanting to continue and fall back asleep, but the ever-present voice would not allow it, and forced him to listen. He lifted his hand up before anything else, and froze his palm to see if he was truly awake, or even alive.

Getting up with his arm rubbing his eyes, the first thing he witnessed was the giant clown head, seemingly from where the voice was coming from. Rubbing his eyes once more, the thing that stared into his very soul was indeed real. "Rules, huh..?" Pulling his coat forward and tightening the belts that held his water containers, he approached the wall that held the papers. Nearing the wall, he took out the knife, and grabbed the paper to read. Frustration started forming, and the dagger he gripped started freezing over in ice. "We're.." Dropping the knife, the entire weapon shattering into pieces with the ice, "Playing.." And a burst of thin frost from Zechs expanded through the room, leaving it a chilling cold.

"A game?!"

Storming from the wall Zechs started to compose himself, though his thoughts on this situation had not changed. "Alright, then.." Looking around the room, into the eyes of everyone around him, he called out to them all with a small growl "When do we start?"

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Mugetsu Sat Nov 14, 2015 9:25 pm

Dante began shuffling against the cold hard floor of what he though was his 'home' but something had seemed to be off. Where was the the intense heat given off by the Volcano he had called home. Where was sharp soothing sensation of the several heated rocks he slept on. Something was not righth, Dante did not even remember falling asleep and he surely did not remember being near his home. As he began to open his eyes he was met only with darkness and shortly a loud and annoying voice of someone who seemed to belong to a carnival.

As he would sit up his eyes would focus on a large clown face resting upon a arch, this appeared to be where the voice was emanating. Having barely listened to the man on the intercom Dante would stand groggy and irritated. The only thing that managed to stick from the annoucments where the man's name and a set of rules plastered on the wall but what were they for. Looking towards the wall where the rules were said to be placed he would notice several people as he walked towards a strange sheet of paper still slightly asleep.

"What the hell is going on. Why do I need to read some damn rules on a piece of paper. I don't like rules, words, or games just let me out of this strange place before I smash my way out."

It had seemed Dante was completely oblivious to the pitch black dark exit under the arch his only concern was reading the stupid paper on the wall. After reading it several time he shrugged as he noted fun and games. This gathering seemed pretty harmless but Dante wasn't interested in an form of games at the moment. He wanted to find his way out and it would be by force if he needed to. A sleepy Dante would call for his Sword rebellion in a attempt to escape from this place. While still stuck in a semi sleep Dante struggled to stand as he swung his blade at the wall almost destroying the set of rules.

"LET ME OUT!"

Well, I'll be! There appears to be some division in motivation amidst our guests. Grandioso, grandioso! I know he chose the right ones. These slow-blows better get going, though. I want to start already! Like flu-face just said. Heh, "flu-face". I'll call him that from now on. He'll probably get mad, so that's stellar.

The speaker speaks once more! Bambini, liiiisten up!

Sì, bambini! Wakey-wakey! Before I have to wake you up myself! Now that you're all informed, proceed through this bowhole! This disgusting, dark, murky despair-hole! I'm gonna take you all on a wild ride! That's what she said. Or rather, what she told me. Keh... Heh.

But, but! Or, rather, "and"! Don't stay here for too long. I'm legitimately gonna get mad. I wanna play, not play psychiatrist. So y'all better get your lazy excuses for legs right over here! Andiamo, andiamo! Or else, we can't play the game! Just like axe-face said: Axe no more questions! Chop-chop, now!

...Get it? Because his face looks like an axe? Yeah, I'm talkin' about you, blood bank! Better hurry the Hell up, because this wild humor is just gonna come back to stir you up if you don't! Ahahaha!

But come on, now. Please? Pretty please? Per favore? See, I'll even reward the first one to step in here! But! No fighting over it, 'kay? I'm sure we're all as excited as I am to play! So give your fellow bambini a chance, alright? Ottimo, ottimo! Venire qui, amici!

The gate under the arch descends a little! Come on over now, before Don decides to shut it down for good!

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Flynn Sun Nov 15, 2015 10:55 am

Bile rose in the back of my throat as Sumaru came near me, and I dropped the flier before he could touch me. Gods know that this being was less human than anything I'd ever known, and I've known more than a few in my lifetime. Dante flipped shit, and everyone else was over-dramatic. Typical.

"I'm sorry, I figured the beings words of 'Play the game or die' made this obvious."

Turning from the disgusting being, I eyed the familiar faces. Zechs, Corren, and a few other friends- or enemies in Sumaru's case -were standing or laying in awkward poses. The clown laughed, told his tale, and continued to patronize the others and myself with his bad jokes and puns. The gate ascended, and darkness was all that was in.

Holding out my hand I summoned one of my Chakram and threw it forward- its light trail being the only thing guiding us in, so far.

Corren blinked once before sliding a hand over the solidified air to press himself upward. The shrieking and bantering and borish voices swelled through him and met his consciousness like a hammer. "I hate co-op. I'd much rather a single player campaign". The Seraph threw his momentum forward to stand upright and held his transparent wings out to stabilize himself before allowing them to sink into his garbs. The moment he touched onto the floor to stand, his body flickered with a fading light, nearly unnoticeable. In almost the same instance, Corren appeared at the base of the archway, ignoring the tasteless design which he muttered to himself could use some authentic architectural talent. He leaned backward at the base, not yet having crossed through it seems.

-To claim a prize? Who says the joker need be the fool.-

"Hey, uh. Kid. With the innate obsession for attention with the poorly crafted sword. Whatever you are. You and um. You. Exsolus's concubine Vampire. Both of you. Go through the arch and get the prize". Corren's face stood indifferent as he offered this prize to anybody who might dare claim it. However, the tip of Corren's invisible wing poked through and past the archway, extending five feet without company knowledge.

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Mugetsu Sun Nov 15, 2015 12:31 pm

Dante continued to attack the wall ferociously until he heard another announcement from the clown man directing him to what appeared to be an exit. As soon as Dante stopped attacking the wall in a attempt to look in that directly his ears we're drawn to voice that he could not differentiate from the loud speaker in his sleepy state. This voice had agitated Dante much more then what the announcer was previously saying. He had even talked trash about Rebellion and that was something this he would certainly not tolerate.

"HEY! YOU THERE ARE YOU THE ONE LOCKED ME IN THIS ROOM. I'M GONNA KILL YOU!"

Dante was at the man as fast as he could bumping into the people closets to him a young man whose skin felt like ice and what Dante thought to be the only lady in the room. As Dante ran towards the man standing under the arch he would leap into the sky raising Rebellion above his head as it would flash a dark aura before changing into a large demon infected Battle Axe. Aiming for the center of his foes body Dante would slams the axe downward aiming for the center of his foes head as a intense powerful flame covered the serrated edge of the axe only to be spread outwards upon impact with something for an intense burn.

Corren watched the child with an unamused look, his lips stuck in a smug smile. As the Seraph of Time, everything around him appeared in agonizingly slow motion which must have appeared strangely as Corren raised his smallest finger to meet the axe in what appeared to him as nearly stationary. The moment a flame from the edge licked his finger, he Flickered several feet away within the same instance. Corren re-appeared with his hand extended, having encircled the floor around the foolish demon with a bubble of point five Time. Anything that might touch the bubble would be moving in a time many times more lethargic than reality. A prison.

Corren raises his hands to show his lack of weaponry.

"Hail! Don Burlone!" His voice rang out, powerful and firm. He made clear use of the accent that followed Burlone's voice. "In accordance with the stature set down by your stead, this child has broken such a scripture! As you might see, he has committed one act of violence against my person". Corren extended his little finger, showing the tiny, minuscule burn. "I cannot say.. This is the kind of act that fulfills fun for all ages!".

Hot dog! This flying guy is pretty good. Might need to keep an eye on him... If I can, that is! Ahahaha!
But... I guess his mother might be the worst one to contact at this point. Ah, well. I can't just change the rules now. I might later. Ruling that option out for now. Heh, I really enjoy my own company.

----

Uh-oh! Someone's been a naughty bambino!

Woah, good-freakin'-grief, bambini! You guys aren't even off the first room, and y'all are already picking fights, huh? Well, our light-headed, twinkle-twinkle-little-star guest knows what he's talking about. Behavior like this in my playground? That's a real jerk move. I'll be calling your mother now, blinky, so don't worry. You can rest safe for now. The other bambino shall get his deserved punishment. Just let me...

...
...Moshi moshi, Buurone desu.
Aa, naruhodo ne.
...
Soudesuka? Ahaha.
...
...Jyaa, arigatou ne.

...There! Your mother shall be coming soon, alright, radiation-brains? So hold your shoes right there.
Well, I really didn't want our game to end so soon...

Buonna notte!

----

With absolutely no warning, an intense bang of light diverged from the ceiling. It was almost instantaneous, as if a flash of lightning had suddenly struck the dimly lit room. After it, the room returned to its darkened state. Nothing seemed to have really changed. Nothing, other than...

The sudden sound of claws tearing against the wall.

Sudden, nimble flashes of light following it.

The sound of heavier breathing, as if someone was toying around with an old chainsaw. A sound that wasn't there before.

Was that light... Moving?...

The sudden bangs of light, one at a time, increased in frequency, as they appeared to divert from their source. First, they came from the very center of the roof. Then, they seemed to stray away from the center and approach the walls. One blink to the left, one blink to the right... They continued to "move"; slowly, from down the walls, to the dark corners of the room. Still blinking, they drew closer and closer to where the group was, away from the grim edges. The sudden blinks of light, almost of a blinding intensity at this point, were starting to weaken. They weren't necessary anymore, as its source finally neared a visible area. And from there...

Spoiler:

It roared with a nerve-stunning intensity, a shriek which seemed as brief as the light bangs that preceded it.

The room was analyzed. The victim, the misbehaved, and the... "Accomplices". His "friends" who did nothing to defend him.

As his mother, she would save her child from these ill, disgusting influences.

This is her only drive. Her only reason to exist, here and now.

With the situation assessed, it was time to protect. Assuming a stance, she was prepared to astray these influences from her sweet child's life. First, the aggressor. Then, the accomplices. Only then would her child truly be safe.
If her child wasn't in trouble, what reason would there be for her to be there?

----

Hey, hey! The gate under the arch is halfway shut now! Y'all better get ready to run from here, unless you wish to be trapped for all eternity! Until you die!

Sumaru not caring for everything else going on leaned back in his corner. He watched as one of his daggers were frozen and then shattered. He shrugged it off since he owned many and he wouldn't miss that one specifically.

He watched in anticipation as a scuffle started between two others in the room. But before that he heard the floating man call him something. He didn't make it out clearly since he hadn't been paying much attention but he most certainly heard his masters name. He couldn't comment on it because soon after the idiot causing an uproar attempted to strike down the man. He simply dodged it and then imprisoned him

The annoying man on the loud speaker spoke once again. He shrugged off what he said mostly until he noticed that the opening to the new area was closing fast. Without waiting around to see the creature he sicked on the people in the room he used one of his abilities. Shadow Lurk. He phased into the shadows of the room and found himself in the shadow of the Knight's Chakram. He decided to wait inside the shadow until everyone else came through.

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Zechs Sun Nov 15, 2015 4:27 pm

The transpired actions only grabbed Zechs' interest, the capabilities of that young man only had him wondering just what his full potential was. However, the follow-up response from the unknown voice only brought his caution up. While it was a petty game, it enforced its rules, it seemed.

The lights sent a sensation of alert, but he simply watched, unable to bring himself to move, for whatever reason. Nothing was stopping him, yet he simply stared. Though, it was the source of that light which snapped him out, and his stance was made. He didn't make for his sword, knowing it would be useless. Instead, a break for the next room seemed in order, and with it, his final acceptance into playing along with this game. "Time Alter.. Double Excel!"

A burst of speed to the next room was made, and into a sliding stop, his Time Alter fading away. Looking back, he saw what had emerged better, and grimaced at its mere presence. "This isn't really a game now, is it?" He growled, his hand on his sword's hilt. "Am I forced to just watch..?"

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Corren tipped hit non-existent hat at the raving child stuck in the time orb. This "mother" which appeared to punish the rule breaker was definitely a beast he had not encountered yet and.. Well, one glimpse was enough for a life time. He waved towards the remaining others and slipped through the archway before it could close, beginning a slow stride down the hall with his hands stuffed into his pocket robes.

The Seraph boy began to hum a gentle, upbeat tune with each silent step. Despite the events that had transpired, Corren's eyes remained dull. Expectant. He followed the mercenary king, analyzing the agility his magic offered. He was glad to see another crafter of Time.

"So, um. Don.. " Corren began. "Are you there? Or are you busy with mom".

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Octo Sun Nov 15, 2015 8:31 pm

Ahahaha! That was a good one! Really, gotta give floaty-hoppers some credit. But... Dunno. The other bambini might get jealous, huh? As jealous as a good ol' barnacle from the whale he's been sticking to, eh? Well, no one cares about barnacles. I bet no one cares about these guys, either. Keh... Heh.

----

Speaker, speaker! Bambini, don't listen down! Listen up! Heh.

Heh, I'm busy with mom alright. With your mom, that is! Aha! Ha! Nah, she's right there. About to take care of this... Irreverent... Rule-breaker. Now, ain't nobody who likes those guys, sì? I'm having her get rid of him. Or! You can ease his suffering by leaving him alone! To die! For good! Finitto! Vide, vide!
Though, if you ask me... Having more mouths to feed might be an advantage. Really, think about it. Wouldn't you enjoy being confined inside a rat maze with more people? The more the merrier, right? Then again, he broke the rules! So he must be punished! No mercy to the mad and the wicked! Keh... heh!

It's funny for you to call me out like that. You know I can't resist a good pun. See, "busy"! And "mom"! Same sentence? What genius bred you, ragazzo?! Ahahaha!

Ah, by the way. Emo-lester here seems to have gotten through the gates first! I'll give him a prize once he proceeds to the next dark room. See that little shadow there? Under the chakram! That's him! Look at him go! Bravo, bravissimo! Go, little guy! Andole, andole qua! Haha!

And y'all better follow him, too! I will only light up the next room and give Pale Moon his little gift after y'all go down the path, alright? Just leave this very valuable asset to the team to be wiped off this plane's existence! Proceed on ahead, and don't look back! Geh... Heheh...

Gehahahaha!

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

The word play between Corren and this Burlone was both childish and intellectual. Burlone, though using crude humor and such, was trying to glean the personality and abilities from everyone in the room. Dante, having been restrained, was no longer a true threat nor part in the game. He already proved that he wasn't too much of a thrill to Burlone- he broke the rules.

Hnn... Burlone is bound by his rules. But if he's bound to his rules, he might change them- that was stated in.. The rules. He's making this more than a maze game, he's making it a chess game. Corren was obviouslly one of the most powerful players. Zechs as well.. Sumaru, I'm not sure. I don't know where this other Cae would fint in either. None of the pieces are making sense for me.. Where is this clown going with the game?

My visor was reflecting the light of my eyes back to me, so I could tell that the curiosity bubbling within my mind was an easy tell.

Mind games. That's all that we're playing. If I were to... Hmm..

Chess. That's what I'll play.

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

"Okay. I mean. I wanted to bring up something you might find rather entertaining but, alas. You seem so occupied with the occupied". The Seraph found his way to the end of the corridor, greeting the others with a two-fingered, dull salute. He ruffles through his garbs to produce a sheathed, long-tip stiletto dagger which he slid from its home and dropped it to the floor, the muffled clang louder than the stifled silence of his company. He kept the sheath in his hand and leaned against a wall.

"You guys, uh. You come here often?" He asked, staring lazily at the mercenary King, Zechs Renaurd.

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Laughter could be heard from within the shadow under the floating Chakram. Sumaru was hysterical as it looked as though the idiot who was throwing a tantrum was gonna be met with certain death. He popped out of the shadow and quit his laughter. He resumed his serious manner and looked next to him. Next to him lied the King with the ice powers.

He wasn't sure if Zechs had remembered him or not from there short meeting awhile back. He met Zechs back before Excul had become his master. Back when he stood by Xixas' side. They met very briefly as he was busy and had to go on a mission of sorts.

He turned his gaze towards the person who trapped the poor tired person in the room with "mom." It seemed as though he wasn't taking things very seriously as he was trying to spark a conversations of sorts. He ignored him though and stopped right outside the entrance to the room, waiting for the lights to turn on.

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Zechs Mon Nov 16, 2015 5:38 pm

His seemingly unbreakable focus at that.. Monster, was pierced through at the question from the young man. Without breaking his entire attention, he shot a glance of slight irritation to the man, "I'd like to think this isn't an every day, sick occurrence."

"This Burlone guy seems to have power to back up a brute force approach from us.." Hesitantly letting go of his hilt, Zechs scoffed towards the general situation, slamming his fist into his open palm. "Tch.." Looking away from the man who was seemingly trapped inside that prison of sorts, he noticed the shadow lurking stranger, or at least he thought. Something about his face was familiar. But for now, his attention was drawn to the young man who put that loud-mouth in his position. "You're awfully calm for this. Are clown heads sending out wyverns a daily chore for you?"

"No". Corren responded, twirling the thin sheath between his fingers. He grabbed the sleeve of his robe and began polishing the sheath with an indifferent demeanor. "Usually, it's dragons. But wyverns are a nice change".

"I guess I am a little calm. I mean, nothing exciting has happened yet, so.. Why shouldn't I be? I think you might be a little too fired up, though. With that Time magic, you probably could have saved the Antithei, to be frank. Don't you think it was a little frigid to give him the cold shoulder like that?".

Corren shrugged, as if dismissing a thought about the weather. "Not that it matters".

The Thrill of the Clutch Empty Re: The Thrill of the Clutch

Post by Octo Mon Nov 16, 2015 7:02 pm

Mamma, mamma... These guys! I picked a bunch of braindead blockheads to play my game. Or, well, guess I didn't reaaaaally pick them. Or maybe I did. I dunno, don't wanna think. Won't think. Ale, sì! But! They're thinking more than acting! This can't be how they used to play games when they were kids, right? Vengole qua!

At least Aeri-late here doesn't seem so bad. He's pulling some interesting strings. Hope they're not hair! Hair really hurts when I get it pulled, hehe.
Not like these strings are stuck to shark bait or anything, anyways. Heh.

----

An old lady didn't listen to the speaker once! She was found dead the next day! Haha!

Curses, curses! Vi maledicono! All taunts! All taunts, floaty-mind! Are you all-taunts like that with your friends?! Didn't mamma teach you to behave with your fellow bambini?!

...Nah, just kidding! We're cool. See, at least you're doing interesting stuff. Semi-interesting. Or... I dunno. Well. Some booger-licking infant might find it amusing. Not me, though! Ahahaha! Hehe.
But these kids... Honestly? Nobody seems to be having fun! Epale qua! That just beats the whole purpose of playing! It's like as if you went to this big, fancy dinner with all your amici, but spent the whole thing through reading a book and not talking to anyone! It's just not fun!

...Hm, I know! We have
one Condemned bambino at this point, and everyone got past the first room unscathed! No scrapped knees! See? Tell your mammi later you did it with no hands. They'll most definitely be disappointed on the bunch of degenerates- I mean! She'll be proud of you all, sì, sì!

Baaaack on track! Andiamo! With the current circumstances, and before I reveal the next room! I am overly overjoyed and flambuoyantly pleased! Aspettalo...

By the power of Rule X5, I will be introducing a brand-new, exciting rule!

This, questo! All of you have been super silent the whole way through! You might say a thing or two, but it's all redundancy! Redundancy, dico!
But... You all sure seem to be thinking and keeping information to yourselves an awful lot.

...Can you see where I'm going with this? Keh... Keh heh heh...

This new rule shall vigor as soon as you finish going down the hallway and enter the new room! It will remain for the rest of the game, so keep this in mind!

Sir Manuelito! If you will! Andiamo, andiamo, per favore!

X7 - Thy private thoughts shan't be kept for thyself no longer: All thoughts, from now on, shall be wide-spread as if they were speech.

...For the numb-dumbs who didn't get it, don't want to get it, or just are really, really dirty and have ear wax taped all over their auditory canals, allow me to repeat: All of your thoughts will now be spread to the whooole group, as if they were speech. Think of it as... Normally speaking! But! You don't have to move your mouth! Instead of sound waves, it functions on psychic waves! Basically the same thing, except any of you bambini with soundwave-related tricks won't be able to affect it at all. Or... With any other tricks, really. Think of it as "brain-bound". No getting away from it! No shields to protect you! Hehe... Heh.

Oh, but. Of course. That doesn't include me. I wanna keep my own thoughts to myself for now.

And, just in time for the new room! Luci accese, sus!

----

See? Can't you see this majestic, humongous circus tent I've locked you all in? It has bright colors all over! Light fills it to the very roof! It's almost like being inside a real circus tent, except... Not! The exit is right over there, a straight line from the entrance! See it? But... Mamma! It's locked!

...And what could these altars, spread all around the walls, be? There are exactly twenty of them! Hehe, they are key to unlocking the door, ora sus!

How do you activate them, you ask?

These altars are actually alive! And they are some of the most savage, brutal flesh-eaters you will ever find! See, look at this!

I will drop a body-less human limb into one of the altars! And then... Watch as it disintegrates! Gah-lee!
These altars feed off of flesh, organic matter, or... Meat, really. They will consume all meat and bones that stand over them until they're satisfied. Since these are pretty small, one piece the size of a human forearm should suffice to fill up their tummies! And only until all are feelin' good and filled up, the door will unlock!

By the way, that limb I just dropped on one of the altars left it satisfied! That was my gift. Hope it's enough. So, really, nineteen more altars to go! Andare, andare! There are maws to feed! Nineteen, nineteen!

And... Well. A friendly reminder! All rules still apply! Both the old and the new! Do not forget!

Sacrificial cooperation or mutual amputation? And with all of your thoughts exposed... Communicating should be at its easiest, right? Cooperation abound! Sì!

Unless... That's not your kind of thing. Heh.

Anyways. Have fun!

----

The gates to the first room... Tension isn't necessary anymore. They have been shut down for good!
Press on, remaining heroes!
A good fate... Is for those who seize every moment as if it was the last.
