Personality
Without his special possession, Flynn is a gardener. The source of who he is and who he has become stems from the weapon that he grips so fervently; so ambitiously. An endless source of confidence sprinkled with arrogance, implications of kindness stemming from an overly sensitive and somewhat naive heart. Flynn contradicts himself with his words and intentions, so seemingly abrasive and front-forward, yet he never wants to be the one to rock the boat or instigate. He finds some demure pleasure in being forced to take a leadership position, offering himself fully to the helm under the impression that he “doesn’t have any choice” and “it’s not my responsibility.”
Flynn’s mind dances around the possibilities of his actions and their potential results but rarely acts on them. His nerves are more than capable of influencing his mental state, leading to mistakes that might not normally have been made. In the end, Flynn is a somewhat socially awkward, introverted young man playing at exuding his presence. Despite putting much stock into the workings of the mind over the muscle, Flynn Argall cannot help but invest all of him into that very sword he cherishes, as it acts as the battery for his willingness to step out of the line his life has offered him.
Appearance
Average build for a swordsman on the thinner side rather than the muscular side, approximately 6’0 exactly. Sharp, angular cheekbones with a rounded jawline but neither are exaggerated. Hard to tell unless you really stare, and a sharp and brow with a heart shaped head that highlights his slightly sharper-than-average widow's peak. Olive skin and curved, hazel eyes with a hawkish nose and a single, little mole on the corner of his left eye. A focused look in his eyes is tied to the ever so slight tug of a smile at his lips, as if looking for something to enjoy. Overall, he is neither handsome or displeasing to look at, but is easily recognized.
Typically dresses in an older soldier’s garb with his older brother’s hand-me-down coat. His boots are light and made of a sturdy cloth and rubber and he keeps his coat tied close with a sash. Dark tinted glasses hang at his side. He wears his oak-brown hair short and styled upward to his left, the hints of crimson only seen under the sunlight.

Backstory
Flynn has lived by the trowel and learned by the words of those immediately close. He has never fully attached himself to this life and prayed for just one opportunity to make himself into something more. Perhaps through the world’s compassion or pity, he was given that opportunity in the form of an ageless sword that he could have sworn wasn’t there yesterday--found in the middle of a grassy plain a modest distance away from his town. At just the age of seventeen, Flynn took to engraving a shaky yet effective means of channeling his energy into combat. He wields the sword in an awkward fashion that resides between a warrior’s style and a duelist’s. With a thin sword now added to his tool belt, Flynn swore to one day leave his homestead village and become something, anything, or look for something worth believing in. His entire life has been an uneventful, average series of non-events that have somehow lead to now. An average human farmer, by sheer chance, found his way into a potential spotlight utilizing a lost relic he tries his hardest to believe he deserves.
Perhaps now is the time he will be met with what he desires most or be erased from the record of the world trying.
Interests
One-on-one combat: Flynn revels in the clash of arms in such a way that he feels it on a level different from any love he has felt before
Reading: The act of experiencing worlds through the ageless pages of records feels like living within a dream to him
Rain: Soothing, splendorous, and beautiful. As much as a good one-on-one, Flynn loves the rain more than almost anything. Only when the sky falls can he feel truly at peace
Quiet places: The songs of the wind and melodies of the land put any bard’s works to shame
New experiences: What better way to meet your goals than to find new ways of doing it?
Disinterests
Arrogance: Somewhat hypocritical, but Flynn sneers at arrogance if he feels an ego isn’t earned
Ignorance: A lack of attempt to better oneself or even consider a meaning outside of a box is foolish
Losing: Very sore
