New Story: Descending Hope
It has been three years since that time. The world was in shambles, ripped apart from the axes of battle and burned to ash by its vicious magic. After a war of nearly endless proportions, a winner was finally decided. As the Concuclare leader stood atop the highest Dysterian castle which lie in near ruins, surrounded by his officers and the defeated monarchs of the opposing factions, a vast vortex ripped its way into the sky, blackening the sun with a thick and heavy rainstorm. The time had come for Xixas Averall to finally succeed in destroying the world-- and recreating it in the image of the people.
However, as the Sicarian stood victorious, surrounded by the literal billions of people that formed the collected armies of each nation, there stood another man far across the horizon miles past the mountain range. His hood covered his face, hiding his angelic features distorted in what almost seemed like fury. This man was dressed in dark velvet garbs, splitting the drops of rain as they pelted his dressings and slivering off the material as if it were glass. His hands were extended in a familiar motion, of drawing the string of a bow. There was nothing in his grip-- and then there was. In a moment's piece, crystalline of what might only be hardened blood took sentient action, shaping itself in flashes of light to fit the mold, creating a titanic hunting bow that glowed with an unknown light.
Xixas raised his arms into the air with a fierce cry of a painful victory, a roar that could be felt by every attending and living soldier, vibrating through the hearts and minds of the standing, the wounded, and the dying. There were no words to be said now as the lightning crashed and echoed loud, amplifying the cheers of the people as if nature itself stood beside them. It was in that moment that in the souls of everyone there, even those who lie defeated, that peace was finally on the dawn's promise. Xixas extended his arms to the sky and began pouring his Echo into the rift above, nearly finishing the spell that would crush the world and the world would be reborn anew.
Still standing on the ridge of the mountains, the angelic bowman stood with his arrow knocked. With a prayer whispered into the night and a gesture over his heart, he let the arrow fly.
It was only a second. A flash of dull cardinal over the Sicarian's heart into an instant of flashing crimson spraying over the ruined castle floor. As Xixas fell to the floor, the night was cast into silence. An arrow protruded from his chest, directly over his heart. One of his officers rushed to his side and moved him upward and froze upon seeing his face. Xixas Averall was dead in that single instant, his blood leaking out onto the floor, soaking his clothes. His face was lifeless. He hadn't even realize he had been killed the moment it happened.
And with that, the world was plunged into a chaos far beyond what any creature could possibly comprehend. After a battle that left the nations of the world shattered and weak, a threat far greater than themselves loomed over the horizon. The cries erupting from the people upon realizing the situation left a scar in every soul that survived what came next to be known as a day known by all as the Day of Falling Stars. Xixas Averall, the man who lead the conquered world was now dead, and the people of his united kingdom lie in shambles.
Back on the horizon, the robed figure allowed his crystalline weapon to dissolve into a shimmering dust, standing in a lethargic yet somehow menacing manner. He did not turn his body away from the scene before him. Miles away, a sea of warriors cried into the night as the last strand of hope lie severed and bleeding out before them. Behind the assassin was what was yet to come... ...A vast array of armed soldiers as far as the eye could see, clad in crystalline armaments and a look of bloodlust in the eyes of every invader. With a final prayer to finish the prior offering, the Crafters declared war on this new world.
Three years have passed since the Stars Fell. The nations no longer exist and merely stand under the crumbling flag known as the Remnants. The army of crystal soldiers known as Crafters invaded this massive world and took it as their own. The power they wielded was beyond belief, even if the nations were united at full strength, there would have been no chance of survival. Settled in the abandoned ruins of a nameless city in a section of the world only recently discovered, the Remnants survive. Although they outnumber the Crafters, there is a gap between the power of these two armies that cannot be crossed.
We now stand as members of the Remnants, or the Flagless, those who stand along in this hellhole of a world. The Crafters are too powerful to fight, especially those of high renown (your Crested characters are faaaaar stronger than your OVB characters, but don't worry. There is a way to get stronger).
Tell me what you guys think.

I personally love the idea, and how it was written out. It makes it seem fair in this setting. Although, I'd have to wonder, how would we get stronger on this site?

By being a bad ass of course.
But in all seriousness, you'll find out tomorrow the way to get stronger.

No duh it's centered around him. He's the leader of Concuclare are you gonna be the one who opens the rift to make our new world? No you aren't so why wouldn't it be centered around him. And this is only the prologue which is gonna be used to spark the new story.

It would be centered around him since he's busting his arse trying to create this story. And like I said before this is just the prologue that he wrote out. Don't complain it's not like the whole RP is just gonna be him. He has control over the story so he can do with it what he pleases.

Re: New Story: Descending Hope
Yes. An RP-community that has to have a story in focus.
Xixas is dead. DEAD dead. He's outta dat picture. He was one of FOUR that was in the last story, if you recall, and therefore vital to the story. He be dead.
Which means it's not exactly ABOUT him. Stop fighting that point. Regardless, it's up to us to add whatever 'flavor' we feel is needed. The story is SHAPED BY US. If we don't do anything, nothing but what Rysel has to add to the story will happen. So, we kinda have to put in work if we want more in the story.
