The door careened open and rattled against the wall. The metal joint cracked audibly and fell to the floor.

A man, if that could be what one could say, stepped forward. He was tall, powerfully built. His whole body covered in black leather and raven feather cloak that flutter impossibly with the absence of wind.

A heavy thud, one would almost expect the floor to crack under his steps. He was still thin, most of his bulk coming from the heavy cloaks he wore. However, the most discerning aspect was his face. It was covered by a black leather and stained steel mask with one eye of glass and the other made of a floating liquid, looking almost like a raven's. His mask extended outward with a red stained metal tip. It was the mask of a plague doctor.

His eyes were empty, but a dreadful aura escaped his presence. He took another step forward.

Another deep, powerful bang. The door rattled and shook. He now stand closest to the woman masquerading as a man, staring not at her, or the vampire boy, his the ageless king at the opposite end.

From behind him, the young lady with the chain around her neck and the burlap sack over her head popped her head from behind the dark titan. She stared at the vampire boy and gave what almost sounded like.. little pealing laughter. She lifted the impossibly large chain at her neck and shook it.

"cling clang. The Doctor will find you". She giggled again before stepping at his side.

"Sev" said the young lady.

The titan responded to the young lady, his voice.. Ethereal. Impossible to tell age or gender, but warm and soothing, tender and loving. His voice was that of a best friend, of a lover.

"Keep it on. Keep it on. Keep it. Keep it. Keep it on". The dark titan lifted a thin, gloved hand and tapped the young lady's head. Her glowing eyes instantly died out and left the room with little light. Seconds later, her eyes flared alive.

"Sev".

Sumaru had no idea what was going on but he assumed that this thing in front of him was his enemy. He saw the little girl again and was about to rush after her but he stopped himself. His rage is what led him and Azumai into this situation. He walked right next to Azumai and waited for someone to make a move while generating shadows all around him.

Knealing down, Azumai fought off the urge to run once more. Turning to her companion with exasperation, she bared her fangs.

"Sumaru. Don't. We can't take them. I won't let you die for a reason s dumb as compensation. Please, let us leave... I held Xixas dear to me as well. He was a symbol to all. But if we stand here now, we can't do anything about it later!"

Her voice was gruff, but the plea was true. Azu could only hope that Sumaru would listen to her reasoning, and not try to attack the monster before them. She knew that they wouldn't survive if he did, but would follow his decision regardless.

What sort of being could leave me feeling this vulnerable? I can't stop the shaking in my legs! And his FACE... Gods only know what would have done that to him.. Gods save us if it was him himself...

Sumaru snarled and bared his fangs. He couldn't run. "I can't leave his body here. And everything is frozen at the moment. So I doubt we could pick him up and get out. Either we fight or they let us go about our day but I doubt that'll happen." Sumaru generated more shadows then usual.

The man in the long mask was patient. He allowed the woman who masqueraded as a man to speak. He offered a chance for the vampire boy to give his piece. However, the man in the long mask understood the trickle of time and how the grains of sand were nearing their climax.

In his warmth, the man in the long mask spoke to the woman masquerading as a man and the vampire boy. "Withdraw now".

The young lady gasped audibly, absolutely horrified by those two words, as if they had a hidden, dangerous meaning unknown to the vampire boy and woman who masqueraded as a man.

It took a split moment for her to decide. Stepping towards Sumaru, Azumai leaned up, mere inches from his face. Meeting his gaze, she slowly closed the distance- pressing her lips gently against his. Stepping back, she gave a smirk.

She then moved her hand, fast enough to aim a slap at him with the back of her hand.

"Sumaru. We're leaving. Now. I don't give a damn about your father issues, I just give a damn about your life. Either save yourself now, or I'm knocking you out and dragging your body out."

Sumaru stared at Azumai. She had just kissed him. He had been wanting that for the longest. But he wanted to be the one to kiss her. Now he had butterflies in his stomach and he was terrified. He wasn't used to things going in reverse. He then felt her back hand across his face. Without saying a word his Katana disappeared and so did his shadows. His fangs retracted as well. He nodded at her and looked back at Xixas. He looked to the person named Sev and was tempted to rush him. He let out a low growl and began to shake. Was this fear or excitement? He didn't have the time to answer and looked towards the window. He summoned his shadow wings and punched the window. It shattered and he jumped out and waited for Azumai. He looked to Xixas' body and bit down on his lip attempting to think of a way to get him but it was nearly impossible.

Wrapping the ethereal cloak of her Umblaidd around her, Azumai padded behind Sumaru. She knew that this hurt him, and wished that she could grant him what he truly wanted- but she knew that if they stayed there they would die.

"Don't you hear that lovely music, Sumaru?..."

Regretfully, the vampiress padded behind her comrade after that, the sky no more an obstacle than running on a stone floor.

Both the Vampire boy and the woman masquerading as a man took their leave as the man in the long mask demanded. The young lady went quiet and the bountiful voices of song slowly subsided to a sweet, quiet tune. The man in the long mask took long, bounding steps across the room, each with a resounding thud. He glowered at the motionless ageless king slumped against the floor. Still, he showed no sign of emotion despite the situation that had transpired. The man in the long mask knelt down on one knee, his titanic form still much too tall. He motioned the young lady over to his side.

"Sev".

The man in the long mask extended a gloved hand towards the motionless, ageless king. With his other hand, he held up one finger. He waited in that position as the young lady stared fervently. Finally, the glow of her eyes behind the burlap sack vanished and re-appeared in a blink. He held up another, and another, he stopped at four until she blinked again. He held up a fifth and brought his other hand over for a sixth. After what seemed to be an eternity of motionless silence, the young lady blinked again. Then, as if upon realization, she gasped softly.

The man in the long mask knelt over the ageless king. He flicked his hand at his side and took a small, metal prong from inside his coat. He positioned it against the ageless king's chest, at the heart, and slowly pierced his chest until the prong was no longer visible, inside the heart of the ageless king. The man in the long mask swiftly picked up the ageless king and went to make the final preparations.
