Gentle, prefers to listen and mull over words than speak. He's got humor, even about his 'ailment'. Prefers the quiet, soft places to read and learn.

Goldwyn prefers to let others choose their course of action before making a move, unsure about himself. Having been in the edges of Bright Ire, he wasn't truly 'socialized' until Coeura appeared on the map. Seeking it out due to sheer curiosity, the tales of the defenses of the new addition to Ae'Ire. His time here has made him more paranoid than relaxed, out of his own anxiety of mercenaries- having heard tales of Zechs' bloodthirsty actions.

However, he maintains an outer appearance of calm. He refuses to let any of his thoughts bubble to his features, knowing that concealing any mental struggle would be the best way to hide his intentions.

Goldwyn is 6'1" with deep, mahogany red hair. Pale skin would insinuate he prefers to spend inside, but this is only half true as he likes listening to others and story-tellers. Beneath his armor is a body wracked with scars- though he can't seem to tell anyone where they came from. A well formed body betrays his work, however, as he kept pace with farmers who would allow him to work for them in exchange for housing and food.

Despite his impairment, he seems to work well with his hands. Callouses pock his fingers and palms, betraying the work he does.

His ears have small, black piercings on them- when asked why he made the choice he merely smiles. The cover on his eyes is something he refuses to take off, white glyphs marking the clothing he wears. His right hand has a thick, white band running beneath his vambrace.

Absolutely no one. He's a stranger to all, thus far.

Backstory:

Having arrived to Ae'Ire just weeks after the war ended, the Sicarian was nothing more than a pale form. Shade, ghost, many words were given to him. Not that he minded, as he seemed to have patience with those around him. As the time passed and he began to form more and more of a body, a few looks of recognition crossed those he spoke with. Originally coming to the world in Giat Perr, the scholar felt fine browsing the libraries, listening to lectures about the wars and kingdoms. Fantastical images of what Zechs, the Fourth King, Sumaru, and his main interest- Xixas -filled his mind. A sense of longing filled him, wanting to explore and meet the people he'd learned about. When expressing his thoughts to others, they told him it would be impossible- a blind man wandering the world? Sheer madness, for how would he be able to see the dangers afoot?

Each time others expressed this concern, Goldwyn could only smile. How would they know how he truly saw the world? It was hard enough to explain how he could work, feeling the soft caress of wind, the gentle vibrations of people moving around him, the gentle echoes of others telling him when others were approaching silently.

After an adventurer gave his own lecture- weaving tales of combat and loss, the words around a campfire filled with friendship and longing in and of itself -Goldwyn made his choice to leave Giat Perr and venture to Coeura.

As he was packing however, the very same adventurer came knocking to the house he stayed at. Having seen Goldwyn's quickened pace, he knew what the Sicarian's will was. The old man smiled, handing him his only defense through the long years- a blade that he could slip to his wrist. He cautioned Goldwyn, saying that the blade was as best served for protection as attack. Moving forward with this information, he discovered the man to be a thief, leading to his push to find the weapon's history- maybe even true owner.

Interests:

Listening to others recount their tales, absorbing the information like a sponge would water.

Music- Even if he wouldn't know a violin from a cello if you were to ask him to play it.

Storytelling- something he picked up having been told he had a rich voice for such things.

Braille reading, or being read to.

Disinterests:

Sanc citizens- the tales he's been told paints them each as blood thirsty louts.

Combat- He feels too unsure of himself, despite having been in such situations numerous times.

Sidus: Hey, buddy! It's awesome to see you here. A new face is a good face, you know?

Sidus: I like your style. The, mm, dagger? It's totally a Sicarian weapon. Xixas would be super psyched if he saw it, he--!

Sidus: ..Just, just that there was this guy named Xixas, who was also a Sicarian and was totally into those cool weapons you guys make. So.

Sidus: All that aside, right? I think you'll like it here. It's super pretty and pretty clean. Everywhere has something to do and the food's great!

Sidus: But, uh, I guess I'm making this too long, yeah. Sorry, maybe I'll see you on the field some time. We can go hunting! And.. stuff.
