Cedric
Name:
Cedric- He has no last name.
Race:
Seraphym
Racial Attributes:
His wings go from storm grey feathers to dark clouds that flicker with lightning.
Age:
28
Gender:
Male
Personality:
Loyal to Zechs for helping him when no one would, this is his dominant trait. It's shown in an odd manner, however, since he can typically be found heckling the king outside of court. Jokes, puns, and small pranks can often call him the culprit. In the court, or dealing with harsher manners however...
Flinty eyes filled with a dare for anyone to attack his king. He keeps a sharp mind with the generals of Sanc, keeping pace easily with their actions and decrees.
Appearance:
6'3" With golden hair. Without his typical eyepatch, bangs hang just to his eyebrows. His left eye has been struck by a curse, rendering it a milky whitish blue with throbbing scars. On a good day, they're a healthy pink, but as he gets stressed they can course to a bluish hue. With a lithe runner's build, he's more set for hand-to-hand combat by looks. However, his weapon's proficiency belongs to his spear. Tattoos can be found on his pectorals, and smaller ones on his hips.
Alignment:
Sanc.
Occupation:
Mercenary/Guard.
Relations:
Zechs- His best friend and King. His loyalty is to this man, even if he doesn't always make it obvious.
Backstory:
When Cedric was 'reborn' so to say, he was attacked by a fallen Angel and set with a curse- one that would make it impossible for him to speak to women. Again. Due to this experience, the Seraphym had absolutely zero knowledge of anything but instinct. With his memories a blank slate, one could relate him to a feral cat.
Before Sanc was truly a kingdom, the mercenary camp would send supplies out through specific trade routes. Due to his weakness, pure instinct drove him to desperation. He would attack these cargo runs, taking food and water at a speed unmatched by anyone the supply could send to guard them. Time went by, and as he slowly regained his health from his weakened state the merchants would be guarded by bigger and badder mercenaries. When Zechs' mercenaries failed to guard the caravans, the generals went out themselves.
This only resulted in the generals returning with information of a feral Paradigm- causing Zechs himself to step out of his camp to confront the enemy himself. At the forefront of this caravan, the winter warrior struck blow for blow against the Paradigm- wearing down his speed bit by bit as the cold overtook the weakened man. The battle surprised the Mercenary King, having only ended when Zechs froze most of Cedric in a hunk of ice.
Deciding that this was more a case of need than aggression, months passed as Zechs educated Cedric in not only language- but how to hold himself properly among the residents of Ae'Ire. A quick learner, the Paradigm easily took up on the lessons. Months of careful surveillance and tutoring lead Zechs to understand the tool he now commanded.
And then the war happened.
Everything had to be relearned for the soul, but he took it with stride. Not having the ability to shift into flight was odd for him, but he took it gracefully- the six wings he now wielded providing more than he ever could have achieved before. His alignment with the element echoed by thunder was closer than ever.
Scouting missions blew by for the Seraphym, speed and stealth almost natural to the oddity. Mission after mission, the pair aided by the unforgetting generals built Sanc from the ground up- despite the venomous glances given to the Seraph.
Interests:
Playing instruments he finds, as he has an ear for pitch and mimicry.
Mapmaking, even if it's minor jotting down of environments. He can walk a mile, take it in, and make a map of it as soon as he settles down.
Though he's got both dyslexia and dyscalculia, he strives to keep numbers and records for any purchases made. For him, or Sanc.
Disinterests:
Speaking to women, purely due to his curse.
Dealing with Angels, as his nature and past have made it hard for him to be comfortable around them.

But, back before he died.
Before his soul had been remade.

Re: Cedric
Sidus: Hey!
Sidus: I remember you, I think. I thought you died.
Sidus: I also thought you were a bird, just in a far more literal sense.
Sidus: Hm.
Sidus: ..
Sidus: So, um. This is usually where the others pop in with their comments and we leave it at that but..
Sidus: Just me now. Xixas is dead, Brielle is gone, Corren is gone, Sev is gone, Meijin is dead. I think there's supposed to be somebody else but I've never met 'em.
Sidus: Approved..
