Red in the Shadows

Zechs took the sword, and gave Ayasha an unconvinced look, but continued forward. "Mind telling me what you are doing here?" Zechs gently weaved through the crowds, making sure from time to time she was still behind him.

"The same reason I was in Dyseria. Or Bolitaria."

Smiling quietly, I continued to follow behind him, letting the crowds part from me due to the black, shadowy aura that perpetually surrounded me. Children would stop and stare, or wind up crying.

It's not my fault...

"Mm.. Well, I do not advise hostile actions, you are in the heart of Concuclare." Zechs continued to walk forward, where Xixas resided came into view of them, and Zechs sighed with relief, he was back from his mission. "Ayasha, you mentioned being in Dyseria and Bolitaria, and now here.. What Faction do you serve?"

I could see tension leave Zechs, and I frowned.

"I don't."

Looking up at the large ceiling, I got the impression of the purest light... The whole set was piecing together, and I was merely a puppet, dancing along the stage in an artful performance- bringing the whole act together. Looking at Zechs, I couldn't hide my joy. Yellow light burst from my iris's, and I quickly looked away.

Zechs looked at Ayasha with indifference, and turned away. "Well, Xixas should be here shortly." He said aloud as he sent a messenger away with the report and notification of his arrival. "Back in Majesty at last.."

Staring at him, I took that as a slap in the face.

"Good. Just means that I don't have to deal with you any longer than needed."

My eyes were, once more, crimson. What right did he have to dismiss me like that?

Zechs stood in his formal position, but turned his eyes slightly at the words of Ayasha, and saw her crimson eyes. "I see, well, I shall take my leave, now." Zechs turned himself around, stopping before he passed Ayasha. "Until next time."

Zechs released a sigh, brushing himself down, straightening his coat, and re-strapped his swords properly, before heading toward the doors, leaving guards to keep watch over Ayasha, taking Zechs' original objective.
