A different chance meeting!

Vergil was flying about, and saw a pub, and considering that he was going to do something stressful soon enough, he might as well get a drink. He looked at his blade, and left it be, he wouldn't need it, or at least, that's what he thought. As he landed, he entered the pub, and sat by the fire, sighing, and relaxing.

Nikolai found himself walking to the Pub. He had just gotten back from pillaging a small ship along the coastline. Nikolai entered and immediatly sat at one of the stools. It was about time he had gotten a drink.

Erza was traveling as always and encountered a pub nearby. Her stomach started to growl a bit so she entered the pub. "Do you sell food here?" Erza asked a bartender. She looked around and saw a sailor and an angel of some sort.

Athena was still trying to get to Oppidum but as she was tired she entered the pub. She sat down on a chair, with her mask still on her face. "One beer please.." she asked the bartender in a manly tone.

The Bartender nodded, and said, "We sell a range, from chicken to exotic meats from the far west." The bartender had a lower voice.

Vergil looked at everyone who came in.

The Bartender got Athena the beer, and looked at the Angel, and the Pirate, "Either of you two want anything?"

Vergil shook his head and continued resting.

Nikolai put on his captain's hat. "Let me get a mug of your finest lager, and a mutton." He then thought of what he could do to make the crew better.

"Ahh okay well then..I'll have some steak. Medium well please." Erza smiled. She looked at the sailor's hat and noticed it was a captain hat. She got up and went over to him. "Hello, I'm Erza Scarlet." she said, extending her hand. "I can see you're a captain."

Athena looked around and drank her beer to look more manly. "This is strong..." she thought. She moved to the angel and sat down next to him. "Arthur Chroma is the name." she said proudly.

"My names Vergil." He said, with a meaner sounding voice, "Why do you speak to me?"


He went to the kitchen and started the steak cooking.

"The name's Nikolai." I replied. "And I'm a Co-Captain to be exact. So, where did you come from?"

"Well....I'm not entirely sure, I've just been wandering about. Where did you come from?" Erza asked Nikolai. She put her hands on the table and waited for her food.

"Sir Vergil..I decided to accompany you since you looked quite lonely. I'm sorry if I interrupted anything." Athena said, frowning afterwords.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't be so rude, but it's just part of my nature." He put his hand out to shake Athenas hand

The barkeep came back and placed the steak Erza had ordered.

"I just came from pillaging some ships." Nikolai kindly replied. "Barkeeper, where the hell is my lager and mutton?" He yelled at the attendant.

"Thanks you." Erza widely smiled as her plate reached the table. When Erza grabbed her knife and fork Nikolai started yelling at the bartender. "You know...if your a captain you can at least be civil and patient." she said, cutting her steak.

"It's fine as long as you're yourself." Athena smiled. "We have a hypocrite over here." Athena thought, thinking about the current situation. She shook the man's hand and started sweating. "I really need to get this hair cut.." she muttered. Athena looked over and saw a captain yelling at the bartender.

The Barkeep gave a chilling look at Nikolai, and went in the kitchen and grabbed it and slammed it down on the table.

"Do Forgive me, but, I have the oddest feeling something bad is to happen."

Nikolai calmed down. "Thanks you my good sir. The only reason why I was angered is because something happened earlier today...."

Erza rolled her eyes and went back to her medium well steak and boy it was delicious. "You should really try this." she laughed.

Athena looked over and felt some tension between the red head, the sailor and the bartender. "Same...hopefully all hell doesn't break loose." Athena told Vergil.

"And with the... Captain, and all of us, this place may have a good defence, but... I still a bad feeling." He said.

The barkeep went back into the bar.

Nikolai bit into his mutton. "This has got to be the best mutton I've eaten in years! At least it's better than the crap that the ship cook makes."

Erza giggled a little which was a bit out of the ordinary. She finished her steak so she got up and looked at the sword hung up on the wall. "I remember that." she laughed, looking at a rusty iron sword.

"Really? Should we check the perimeter?" the blue haired girl asked the male. She looked around once more and everything looked more calm, surprisingly.

"I... I think so." He said, getting up, "Follow." He went towards the door.

Nikolai looked around to see two people walking towards the door. They seemed like they were checking something. "Ezra, check this out. What are they doing?"

Erza saw two people walk out together and looked at Nikolai. "Indeed! Why don't we go see what they're doing?" Erza said, grabbing Nikolai's hand and running towards the two.

"Okay sir." Athena smiled. They two began walking out of the pub and looked outside, no one was there. "Great! Why don't we check the back?" Athena sighed.

"I think that would be a good idea." He said, moving swiftly towards the back of the building.

Nikolai ran outside to see the two people. One of them appeared to be going behind the back of the establishment, so he decided to check it out.

Erza followed the others and looked around aimlessly.

Athena saw nothing in the back and sighed once more. "Nothing here either.." she muttered.

"Wait.." He said, putting his hand to the ear, and heard foot steps in the thicket. "Oh my, we do have company."
